Mid-summer update

I am again woefully behind on my poor blog. It's just been super busy at work lately so I haven't had time to sit and upload photos. Here's a little round-up of what the boys have been up to. Brandon is walking pretty well now and Justin is enjoying swim class!

What's not to love about standing in the fridge?
Plotting on how to get the cherries away from Justin

One Year Old!

Happy Birthday to the Littlest Wong! He is the big O-N-E today! How time flies! He just starting walking on Saturday...he's still a bit cautious and prefers to crawl, but he can take about 5-7 steps by himself now. Now begins the stage where Mommy is constantly having a heart attack watching him toddle around and hoping he doesn't bang into anything!

I'm almost out the door for a business trip, but wanted to share a few photos first!

It's a good thing I tried taking his picture the day before. I didn't have a chance to draw up the piece of paper, but this is the best one...
Managed to get a nice shot of the boys together
This is what it looked like this morning
He just wanted to play...not amused

Mother's Day

I'm still on my quest for the perfect Mother's Day brunch buffet. This year we went to Park Place in Cupertino at the Cypress Hotel. Not bad, but I'm still on my quest. Needless to say, the Wong boys quite enjoyed the buffet regardless. For all that motherhood stresses me out, I wouldn't trade these rugrats for anything. I gotta admit, they kinda grow on you ;)

11 months

Oops, I guess I forgot to post Brandon's 11 month pic. Time is flying fast! This month has been marked with curiosity. Namely, our little dragon is becoming quite curious and adventurous and fearless. All I can say is ACK!

Amazingly he sat still for a split second
Brandon has discovered the fridge. Anytime we open it, he makes a beeline for it!

He's also discovered that he can climb into things. Drawers, boxes, you name it, he's climbing it.
I can see why the fridge is so tempting from his point of view...

Camping

The things we do for our kids...those who know me know that I do NOT like camping. I fail to see the allure of dirt, bugs, and questionnable bathrooms. Yes, I am like a princess that way and not ashamed to admit it.

So Jay roped me into going camping overnight at the Pinnacles by promising me unlimited s'mores and flushing toilets, and plus, didn't I want to be a part of Justin's very first camping trip?? Admittedly, Justin had a GREAT time. As for me, I survived with nary a bug bite - an accomplishment in my book!

We were a bit spoiled too. We went with another family and another friend. The friend works at REI, so he can rent equipment for free. Our spacious tent was set up before we got there! And the other family loves to cook, so they did all the cooking! I admit I had it good ;)

The other family had an 8-year-old son, so Justin was so excited to have someone to play with. We went to the pool, roasted marshmellows, slept in a tent, went for a hike using headlamps...Justin was in seventh heaven :) PLUS, the men taught him how to pee in the woods...he thought this was SO great. As long as he doesn't try it in our backyard...

Justin immediately asked when we could go again...uh, next year?

Justin really wanted this book from the camp store. How do you deny a kid a book?
Proof that I was actually there camping
